Lumberjacked

Lumberjacked launched on Steam on April 19, 2025 and received a busy first few months of post-launch updates: bug fixes, sound and performance improvements, new endings, a skin shop, and a save system overhaul — all shipped by early May 2025. A larger content update (v1.9) arrived on October 16, 2025 adding jumping, Halloween decorations, a wardrobe system, and more. On November 11, 2025, a patch post mentioned a major 2.0 update was in progress, promising new gameplay and a new ending, with a "Tree Radar" feature noted as coming soon for the gnome ending. However, no 2.0 update has appeared in the news feed, and the most recent Lumberjacked-specific post is from November 11, 2025. The developer's attention appears to have shifted significantly: in December 2025 they launched a new title (Tabletop Baseball), in March 2026 they launched another new title (Rollbound), and in April 2026 they announced yet another upcoming game (Confettied) and created a bundle pairing Lumberjacked with another title. Rollbound was even bundled with Lumberjacked, suggesting the developer views Lumberjacked as a completed product suitable for promotional packaging. While the November 2025 post referenced a planned 2.0 update, the subsequent silence through June 2026 — over seven months — combined with the developer launching two new games and announcing a third strongly suggests that the 2.0 plans were either quietly deprioritized or folded into minor updates already shipped. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store, no active roadmap, and no developer communication affirming that the 2.0 update is still coming. The game's only DLC (the Supporters Pack, a cosmetic bundle) shipped on April 27, 2025. Given the weight of evidence pointing to a completed product being used for bundling and cross-promotion, the game is best assessed as complete, with development having effectively wound down around early 2026.
