Evaluation
Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness launched on September 2, 2022 as a complete action RPG adaptation of the anime. After release, the developer issued two patches: Patch 1.0.2 on October 14, 2022 (adding controller detection and unlocking a game mode) and Patch 1.0.3 on December 16, 2022 (balance adjustments and bug fixes). The October patch mentioned that additional balance fixes were planned for future patches, but that note was almost certainly fulfilled by the December 2022 patch that followed. There have been no developer communications of any kind since December 16, 2022, and no DLC or additional content has been announced or released. The game shipped as a self-contained story experience and has shown no signs of a post-launch content cycle.
Evidence
Patch 1.0.3 released with balance adjustments, bug fixes, and QTE difficulty tuning. This is the last recorded developer communication.
Patch 1.0.2 released with controller improvements and mode unlock changes. Developer noted additional balance fixes and improvements were planned for future patches.

Experience a Brand-New Story
Another story takes place many days after Riko and Reg depart for the Abyss. The world’s sole remaining, unconquered chasm, the Abyss, is the stage where many adventures are born...and disappear. Those who appear in these stories are mesmerized by the power of the Abyss and aim for the bottom of the netherworld. The story about to be told is of the adventures of a nameless Cave Raider in the Abyss.
