Evaluation

Mai: Child of Ages launched on Steam on September 18, 2025, and has received a consistent stream of updates since then. The developer released the game's only paid story expansion — Storms of Time — on February 28, 2026, adding a new story chapter, roguelite game mode, new dungeons, enemies, and craftable items. This DLC had been announced in November 2025 and formally detailed in January 2026 before shipping as planned. Since the Storms of Time release, the developer has continued pushing patches (through at least April 3, 2026) focused on bug fixes, DLC balancing, and performance improvements for the DLC content. However, no further content — additional DLC, expansions, or roadmap items — has been announced or listed on the store. Earlier patch notes from October 2025 mentioned upcoming items such as "story mode+" and "custom camera filters," but those references disappeared from later communications and are not reflected in any store listing or announcement post. The Storms of Time DLC appears to have been the primary post-launch content commitment, and it has shipped. With all announced and listed DLC now released, no unreleased DLC visible in the store, and no developer communications pointing to future content, the game's content appears complete as of the Storms of Time release on February 28, 2026.
