Maid of Sker launched on July 28, 2020 as a complete single-player survival horror experience. The developer shipped one notable post-launch addition: a free update on February 24, 2021 adding FPS Challenge Modes (four new game modes, new weapons, and enemies). A bug fix patch followed in October 2021. After that, Wales Interactive's attention shifted entirely to Sker Ritual, a separate spiritual successor game that entered Early Access in October 2022 and launched in April 2024. The developer's news posts from 2022 onward — including the September 2025 announcement of three new titles — are all focused on Sker Ritual and new projects, with no mention of any further content for Maid of Sker itself. The only DLC listed is the soundtrack, which released alongside the game. No unreleased DLC exists, no future content has been announced, and the developer has clearly moved on to other projects. The last substantive update to Maid of Sker was the February 2021 challenge modes update, which represents the final content addition to the game.

Maid of Sker is a first-person survival horror, set in a remote hotel with a gory and macabre history from Welsh folklore. Armed with only a defensive sound device, you’ll utilise stealth tactics to avoid death amongst a cult of sound-based AI enemies.
Set in 1898 and inspired by the haunting Welsh tale of Elisabeth Williams, this is a story of a family empire driven by torture, slavery, piracy and a supernatural mystery that suffocates the grounds of the hotel.
Created and developed by Wales Interactive with a plot crafted by the writing talent and designers behind the likes of SOMA, Don’t Knock Twice and Battlefield 1.
