Malignant Survivors

Malignant Survivors launched on February 13, 2024 and received a burst of feature patches and bug fixes in its first few months — adding new heroes, difficulty modes, controller support, and various balance improvements through May 1, 2024. After that, all news activity ceased. On December 24, 2024, the developer posted a [development_status] update announcing that Malignant Survivors 2 is in active development, with a first development video shared and a new Steam page promised. This statement makes clear that the developer has moved on to a sequel rather than continuing to update the original game. No future content for Malignant Survivors has been announced or implied, and no unreleased DLC exists on the store listing. The game launched as a complete package and the developer has explicitly signaled that their focus has shifted to a new title.
