Evaluation
Marble Race entered Steam Early Access on October 13, 2018, and has never received a 1.0 launch or a developer statement declaring the game complete. The developer, Elastic Sea, was fairly active from launch through mid-2021, shipping three major updates (v1.0.12 at launch, v1.2.0 in June 2019, and v1.3.0 in December 2019), along with several feature patches and beta announcements for upcoming versions. The last update of any kind was version 1.4.15, posted on May 12, 2021. Since that date — now more than five years ago — there have been no patch notes, blog posts, announcements, or any other communication from the developer. The game's store page still carries the Early Access label and remains purchasable, but there is no indication that development is continuing or that a full release is planned. The extended silence, with no explanation offered, raises serious questions about whether this game will ever reach its intended finished state.
Evidence
