Evaluation
Masterspace launched on Steam on June 15, 2015, following more than three years of Early Access development. The developer's release announcement on June 13, 2015 explicitly stated that "all features from the original design plan (and much more) have been implemented," marking the transition from Early Access to final release with version 4.0. The developer thanked the community and extended special credits — language consistent with a project being wrapped up rather than continued. There have been no developer communications of any kind since that June 2015 post, now over a decade ago. No DLC has been announced or listed, and no roadmap or future content plans were mentioned. The game shipped as a complete, finished product and has received no post-launch content updates.

As you venture into space to discover new planets, the hull integrity of your custom built spaceship will be tested.
You start out by mining stone and chopping down trees to produce primitive building materials. As the game progresses you will be able to craft more advanced materials and ultimately construct a spaceship. Materials are also used to fabricate a wide range of different objects, ranging from simple furnaces and sawmills, to advanced technological achievements such as laser turrets and deep space sensors.
