Evaluation

Matsuro Palette originally launched on October 14, 2020. On November 15, 2024, the developer SleepingMuseum released a major remake update that added a 16:9 screen format, new episodes, and other exclusive content — effectively representing the game's most significant content milestone post-launch. An accompanying soundtrack DLC also released on the same date. Following the remake, the developer has continued light maintenance: Russian language support was added on December 26, 2024, and Traditional Chinese support was added on March 24, 2026. The most recent developer communication, from June 10, 2026, is a milestone celebration post marking 300 Steam reviews. Notably, it promotes the developer's next game, *Mekururi*, which has its own Steam store page. The developer made a playful, non-committal remark about that new title's release schedule — there is no announcement of additional content planned for Matsuro Palette itself. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap or announced future content for this game, and the developer's attention has clearly shifted toward their next project. The remake in November 2024 appears to represent the completion of the game's post-launch content arc.
