Maurice: In The Predator's Nest launched as a free-to-play game on December 5, 2022, developed entirely solo by Lucas Cavataio. The game has received a solid run of updates: a V1.3 update on December 10, 2022 added a new predator and single-player/co-op modes; a V2.0 "Holiday Nightmare" update on December 30, 2022 added a new map; a full Remake overhaul shipped on March 1, 2024, rebuilding the game from the ground up; a new "Death Valley" map and survivor character arrived March 17, 2024; and feature patches followed in May and August 2024.
The developer's last communication was the Patch 1.4 post on August 23, 2024, in which they stated they were "actively working on improving the game," flagged known multiplayer issues they were working through, and mentioned exploring mod support — all signals of ongoing intent. However, nothing has been posted since that date, which is now over 25 months ago as of October 2026.
