Mech Fortress launched on March 5, 2026 as a complete release featuring 8 maps, 24 advanced levels, and 72 turrets. Since launch, Some Sugar Studio has shipped a consistent stream of updates: Version 1.0.1 (March 7, 2026) brought quality-of-life improvements, Version 1.0.2 (March 21, 2026) added turret repositioning and balance changes, Version 1.0.3 (April 11, 2026) introduced a new Firepower Level progression system, and Version 1.1.0 (June 2, 2026) added a full Roguelite mode alongside the renamed Free Mode. The most recent developer communication was on June 2, 2026. No specific future content such as named DLC, expansions, or a roadmap has been announced. The game now falls outside the recently-launched window (it has been more than 180 days since release as of today, September 3, 2026).
