Evaluation

Medic: Pacific War entered Steam Early Access on June 4, 2026 with two campaign chapters (Pearl Harbor and the Philippines) and a roguelite Lifeline mode. The developers published a full public roadmap on June 19, 2026 outlining six planned major updates — versions 0.2 through 0.7 — covering new campaign chapters, Lifeline maps, cutscenes, localization, navigation overhauls, medical system updates, and a new currency system. Since the previous assessment, development has continued at a strong pace. The 0.2 Voice Over Update shipped on July 10, 2026, followed by patch 0.2.2 (July 29, 2026) reworking over 300 lines of dialogue. Most significantly, the 0.2.3 Localization and Lifeline Update landed on September 11, 2026, adding multi-language support and a brand new Lifeline map (The Last Stand, set in the Philippines). A hotfix on September 14, 2026 continued polishing this content. Critically, the September 11, 2026 update post explicitly previewed the next major release: "In the coming weeks, we'll be releasing what you're probably most looking forward to: a new chapter in the campaign... Keep an eye on our Steam page for a first look at the next chapter: Guadalcanal." This directly confirms the Guadalcanal chapter — a centerpiece of the roadmap's 0.3 update — is actively in development and imminent. Updates 0.4 through 0.7 (covering night maps, dog tags, Okinawa chapters, and the currency system) also remain undelivered. The game is clearly mid-development with the developer actively communicating and shipping content on a consistent cadence roughly every 4–6 weeks.
Evidence
0.2.3 Localization and Lifeline Update shipped, adding multi-language support and a new Lifeline map (The Last Stand). The post explicitly announced the Guadalcanal campaign chapter is coming 'in the coming weeks,' confirming it remains unshipped and is the next major content milestone.
