MICROVOLTS: Recharged is a free-to-play third-person shooter that launched on September 8, 2023 and continues to operate as an active live service game. Masangsoft has maintained a consistent and frequent update cadence throughout 2026.
The game runs on a rotating seasonal content model. The 2026 Spring Season Starter Pack (three tiers: Platinum, Gold, and Silver) launched on March 19, 2026, and was followed by the 2026 Summer Season DLC on July 3, 2026, which brought new diving and officer-themed cosmetic sets alongside membership perks and in-game currency. A bug fix for incorrectly distributed Summer Season DLC items was deployed on July 8, 2026.
Beyond paid seasonal DLC, the developer has shipped substantive game updates throughout mid-2026: a May 26, 2026 patch added three new game modes (Super Item Match, Sniper Mode, and Close Combat); a June 9, 2026 patch refined the playtime reward system; a July 21, 2026 patch added a new summer capsule package and adjusted the server list; and an August 4, 2026 patch overhauled the Boss Battle mode with new EXP mechanics, a results screen, and reward adjustments.
As of August 24–25, 2026 — today — the developer posted patch notes and launched a 3rd Anniversary Event running through October 20, 2026, alongside a new Microvolts Academy Event scheduled through December 29, 2026. New capsule shop items (Colorful Rainy Day RT package) and a refreshed Limited Capsule rotation were also added. Masangsoft is actively communicating with players and shows no signs of development slowdown or studio distress.
