Mirth Melody

Mirth Melody launched on August 15, 2024 as a small rhythm game set in the Mirth Island universe. Shortly after launch, on September 2, 2024, Clay Game Studio posted a Q&A addressing player questions. In that post, they confirmed that new songs and additional content were planned — but importantly, that promise was followed by a Version 1.1 patch on September 23, 2024, which addressed the fixes they had flagged and added localization, new options, and note timing improvements. Crucially, the studio also stated in that patch that they would not be adding 3-simultaneous-note patterns in future updates, suggesting the game's core design is settled. Since that September 2024 patch, the studio's only communication has been a June 6, 2026 post announcing a demo for their next game, Mirth Island — a separate product. There have been no further updates, announcements of new songs, or any other content communications for Mirth Melody itself since September 2024. The early promise of "new songs and content a bit later" was made in September 2024 and has not been reaffirmed in any subsequent communication. Given the nearly two years of silence on Mirth Melody content — while the studio's focus has visibly shifted to shipping Mirth Island — that early pledge appears to have been quietly set aside. The game reads as a compact, complete promotional/companion release for the Mirth Island universe rather than a live title receiving ongoing support.
