Evaluation

Modern Warships launched on Steam on June 4, 2026 as a free-to-play online multiplayer naval action game. It arrived with a large base roster of 234 ships and 239 aircraft, and has been receiving a steady flow of new content ever since. The game operates on a structured monthly Battle Pass system. Update 0.106, released June 30, 2026, launched the "Heart of the Machine" Battle Pass season covering July 2026. Update 0.107, released July 28, 2026, launched the "Virtual Worlds" Battle Pass season covering August 2026 — establishing a clear monthly seasonal cadence. Each season introduces new premium ships, weapons, cosmetics, and a rotating Battle Pass Shop with past-season content. On top of the Battle Pass, the developer runs timed events with their own reward tracks. The "Ancient Continents" event, announced August 10, 2026 and running August 12–31, 2026, includes a dedicated Event Pass and a new ship bundle (the CN Project 055G destroyer) introduced to the game. The developer is also actively teasing upcoming vehicles: the CN Project 055G was announced August 10, 2026, and the CN SSA (a semi-submersible trimaran) was announced August 3, 2026 — both described as "coming soon." This confirms new content is continuously in the pipeline. This game is designed from the ground up for indefinite content expansion, with no endpoint communicated by the developer.
