Evaluation

Mon Bazou launched its V1.0 on December 18, 2025, graduating out of Early Access and marking the developer's intended completion of the game's core vision. In the V1.0 announcement post, developer Santa Goat stated clearly: "The game has everything I wanted and more! I will still continue to work on it but don't expect a big update soon." The post also revealed that the developer is now shifting focus to a new project. This is a direct statement that the game has reached its intended state, with any future updates being minor rather than substantial new content. The game's journey to this point was well-documented. Santa Goat had been actively developing the game through Early Access since late 2021, delivering a series of major updates — including the Hot Hatch update (December 14, 2023), the Championship update (December 19, 2024), the Bar & Maple Wine update (February 27, 2025) — before finally shipping V1.0 on December 18, 2025. The roadmap items teased in November 2023 (championship, fishing, islands) were all delivered by the time V1.0 shipped. Following the V1.0 launch, the developer issued a handful of quick bug-fix and quality-of-life patches through December 21, 2025, addressing launch issues. No future content, DLC, or expansion has been announced. The developer's own words confirm the game is complete as envisioned, and their attention has moved to a new project.

Take your run-down and rusty beater and turn it into a real racer! Make a living by selling firewood, maple syrup, and cannabis to the folks living in town, and wager your hard-earned cash in a street race the same night! Do you pour all your winnings back into your car to become the ultimate menace on the streets, or invest it back into your maple business for even greater returns? Who will you decide to help along the way? These questions -and more- are yours to ask as you write your own story in the quiet Quebecois town of Saint-Clin du Fin-Fond!
