Evaluation

MONSTER CARDS has been in Early Access since August 12, 2022, and remains there today. GasaiGames has maintained a steady stream of updates throughout the Early Access period, shipping Ver.0.19 in February 2025, Ver.0.20 in July 2025, Ver.0.21 in September 2025, Ver.0.22 in November 2025, Ver.0.23 in March 2026, Ver.0.24 in August 2026, and most recently Ver.0.25 on September 25, 2026. The September 25, 2026 update post is the key signal here. GasaiGames explicitly stated: "The Early Access period that began in 2022 is finally drawing to a close. This is the last major update during Early Access, and we plan to launch the full release with the next major update." This confirms that the full 1.0 launch is the immediate next step — one more major update away. Importantly, the developer also said: "Even after the full release, we plan to keep adding new skills and features and making improvements." This means content development is expected to continue even after the game graduates from Early Access. The Ver.0.24 announcement from August 5, 2026 had previously signaled that one more major update was planned before the full release, and Ver.0.25 now confirms that update has shipped. The full release is imminent. All five DLC items (the Plus License customization expansion and four Skill Packs) are currently released. The studio shows no signs of distress and has been communicating actively with players as recently as September 25, 2026.
