Monster Crown

Monster Crown launched in October 2021 and received a series of patches and content updates over the following years. On November 15, 2023, the developer announced that DLC development was complete and would be the final content addition to the game. That DLC — a free update titled "Red King" — shipped on February 9, 2024, at which point the developer formally declared it the game's "final content update" and rebranded the game as "Monster Crown: Red King." The post explicitly described this as the conclusion of the game's content journey and thanked players for the ride. Since the Red King update, the developer's efforts have shifted entirely to a sequel, Monster Crown: Sin Eater, which launched on April 30, 2026. An April 2026 post on the Monster Crown Steam page made an intriguing note that "Monster Crown 1 players... are a big part of our future plans and we may have some exciting news to share on that late this year. The past is not done." However, this is a vague, speculative tease — not a concrete announcement of content for the base game. Given that the developer had already explicitly called the Red King update the "final content update" and this new comment is unspecific (and refers to future plans that haven't materialized as of June 2026), it does not override the earlier completion statement. The only DLC listed is the original soundtrack, which is already released. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store. The game is a complete, finished product as of February 9, 2024.
