Mortal Royale entered Steam Early Access as a free-to-play fantasy battle royale game on December 17, 2018. The developer, Star Vault AB, posted a small flurry of updates in the first week after launch — a hotfix on December 19, 2018 and a feature patch on December 21, 2018 — and then went completely silent. There have been no further developer communications of any kind since December 21, 2018, which is now over seven years ago. The game remains listed on Steam in Early Access with no indication of a 1.0 release, no roadmap, and no statement from the developer about whether development is continuing or has ended. The sole DLC (a cosmetic customization pack) shipped on launch day. Given that the game is still in Early Access and the developer has not communicated any completion or conclusion of development, but has also been entirely silent for more than seven years, the game's development status is deeply uncertain.

Mortal Royale uses a dynamic set of server rules that changes depending on how many players enters the match.
Everything from the size of the playing area to timers and loot dynamically changes to best fit the amount of players in the battle.The servers are based of our own MMO server technology meaning we can scale up the battles to support as many as 1000 players in a single chaotic war!
