Mortars VR entered Steam Early Access on January 3, 2018. In the weeks following launch, the developer posted a handful of small patches addressing seat calibration, bot improvements, and bug fixes. The last official communication from Growl Interactive was a patch note on February 27, 2018. Since that date — now more than eight years ago — there have been no further updates, announcements, roadmaps, or developer posts of any kind. The game has never reached a 1.0 release and remains flagged as Early Access on Steam. No content roadmap or completion target was ever publicly communicated, and the developer has made no statement about the game's future or the studio's status. This extended silence makes it very difficult to confirm whether development is ongoing in any capacity.
