Evaluation

MouseCraft launched on Steam on July 8, 2014 as a complete, self-contained puzzle game with 80 handcrafted levels, four locations, and a level editor. Following launch, the developer released a post-launch update (version 1.1 on October 1, 2014) adding gamepad support, new languages, and various optimizations — the last meaningful content or feature update on record. The Christmas 2013 update (during Early Access) added two new brick types and new animations. After October 2014, Crunching Koalas shifted focus to publishing other studios' games, with subsequent news posts on the MouseCraft page being cross-promotions for titles like Bonkies (February 2021) and Once Upon a Jester (June 2022) — none of which indicate any new MouseCraft content. The store description presents a fixed, fully enumerated content set (80 levels, 7 brick types, 4 locations) with no mention of future updates or expansions. The only DLC is the soundtrack, which has already been released. There has been no developer communication about MouseCraft-specific content since October 2014, and no roadmap, announcement, or hint of future updates has ever been made. The game launched as a finished product and received one post-launch feature update before development concluded.
