Evaluation

Myrmidon is a free-to-play co-op puzzle-platformer that launched on March 7, 2025. The only developer communication after launch is a patch note from March 8, 2025 — the day after release — addressing a network stability fix and mentioning upcoming minor fixes that week. There has been no developer communication since March 8, 2025, no announced DLC, no roadmap, no expansion plans, and no post-launch content updates of any kind. The game shows no signs of an ongoing content cycle: no major updates have shipped, no future content has been announced, and the store description contains no language suggesting planned expansions or additional content. The game appears to have launched as a complete, self-contained experience — a student/indie project published under an academic publisher (Rubika Supinfogame) — with only routine post-launch bug fixing immediately after release. Given the 180-day recently-launched window has already elapsed with no content activity, the game is best assessed as complete as of its launch date.
Evidence
Patch 1.1 released the day after launch, adding a puppet self-revive feature and noting upcoming minor fixes for network and stick placement issues. This is the only post-launch developer communication on record.

About this game

Myrmidon is a co-op puzzle-platformer inspired by stop-motion animated films. You and your teammate take on the roles of a seasoned animator and his new puppet in an adventure full of wonders.

What do you prefer: pulling off daring acrobatics under the spotlight, or pulling the strings of an imaginary world from behind the scenes?

Explore the world through two unique perspectives

  • THE ANIMATOR moves around the miniature sets of their studio in first-person view. They manipulate the set pieces to clear a path for the puppet.

  • THE PUPPET traverses the imaginary world inspired by the sets in third-person view. It performs the acrobatic sequences set up by its creator."

Work together to clear obstacles

The various dangers that stand in your way will challenge your ability to communicate with your teammate and synchronize your actions.

Will you trust your animator and take the leap of faith ? Will you be able to reliably spot your puppet and save it from a deadly fall?

NOTE: This game is co-op only : it requires both players to have an internet connection. Myrmidon does not include any in-game chat features : it is heavily recommended to use an external voice chat software.
