Evaluation

NBA 2K22 is no longer available for purchase on Steam — no purchase options exist, meaning the game has been delisted from the storefront. Beyond that, the game's multiplayer servers were officially shut down as of December 31, 2023, as prominently disclosed in both the store description and short description. Since the game featured heavy live-service online functionality (MyTEAM seasons, MyCAREER online features, and The Neighborhood), the server shutdown effectively ended the game's functional online content. The last seasonal content update (Season 7) shipped on May 20, 2022, and no further updates or announcements were made after that point. The game's content cycle ran from launch (September 10, 2021) through seven seasons concluding in May 2022, followed by server shutdown at the end of 2023.
