Evaluation
Nimbatus launched out of Early Access on May 14, 2020 after a substantial Early Access period that included five major updates. At launch, the developer stated they would "start working on a new update soon," and followed through with a community feature vote and the 1.1 update on August 25, 2020, which added new drone parts (wheels, grappling hook, ballast tank), multiselection tools, and other improvements.
After that August 2020 update, post-launch major content development appears to have concluded. The only subsequent developer activity visible in the news history is a bug fix hotfix posted on November 12, 2025 — more than five years after the last major content update — which fixed broken enemy spawns introduced by a prior patch. This hotfix indicates the developer still occasionally maintains the game technically, but there is no indication of new content being developed or planned.
The DLC list contains only the soundtrack, which was released on launch day. No unreleased DLC or announced future content exists. The 49 posts scanned show 6 major content releases (all occurring before or at launch and in the Early Access period, with one post-launch feature update in August 2020), and no developer statements about future content after that point.
The game launched as a complete 1.0 product, received one post-launch content update, and has since been in a maintenance-only state. The November 2025 hotfix shows the developer is still willing to fix bugs, but no content additions have been made or announced since August 2020.
Evidence
Version 1.1 update shipped, adding new drone parts (wheels, grappling hook, ballast tank), multiselection, and templates. This is the last major content update released for the game.
Developer announced a community vote for features to include in a planned 1.1 major free update, confirming post-launch content was in the works.
