NiuMa launched on August 13, 2025 as a multiplayer party game. In the roughly two weeks following launch, the developer was extremely active: they shipped 8 major content updates (primarily new maps), 7 feature patches adding systems like controller support, full matchmaking, mid-game join, and mod editor improvements, plus numerous bug fixes. All three DLC packs (animal character expansion packs) shipped on August 14, 2025, the day after launch. The last confirmed developer communication of any kind was the final map addition on August 28, 2025. Since that date — now nearly 13 months ago as of September 24, 2026 — there have been no further news posts, patches, or announcements of any kind. The entire documented update burst took place within a single 15-day window after launch. With no developer communication since August 28, 2025, no unreleased DLC, and no announced future content, the burst of activity immediately post-launch appears to have been a concentrated launch-window effort that has since concluded rather than an ongoing development cadence. The developer has not signaled anything further is planned.
