Nova Blitz

Nova Blitz launched out of Early Access on July 11, 2017. Following launch, the developer shipped a series of patches through early 2018, with the last recorded developer communication being Patch 1.44.5 on March 12, 2018 — now over eight years ago. There has been no developer post of any kind since that date. In November 2017, the developer announced an ambitious plan to integrate a blockchain-based trading economy using Ethereum ("Nova Tokens"), promising a crowdfunding campaign starting December 1, 2017. No follow-up post was ever made about the outcome of that campaign, and the blockchain system never appears to have shipped. This announcement was never fulfilled by any subsequent release visible in the record. The game's store description does reference collecting cards, drafting, tournaments, and leaderboards, which are features consistent with an ongoing live game. However, the store description appears to be the original launch copy and does not describe any monetized seasonal content cycle, battle pass, or explicitly ongoing content rotation. There are no unreleased DLC items listed. The developer has posted nothing since March 2018, which far exceeds any reasonable expectation of continued active development. Given the complete absence of developer communication since March 12, 2018, the unfulfilled blockchain announcement, and no evidence of any post-launch content cadence beyond maintenance patches, the game is best assessed as having concluded active development around the time of its last patch in early 2018.
