Old Gods Rising launched on May 20, 2020 as a complete first-person adventure mystery. Shortly after launch, on May 26, 2020, the developer shipped a patch adding achievements and fixing bugs. On July 23, 2020, the developer released one additional chapter — a post-credits story extension — which represents the only major content addition to the game. There have been no developer communications of any kind since July 23, 2020, no unreleased DLC listed on the store, and no announcements of future content. The store description presents the game as a self-contained narrative experience with no indication of ongoing updates or planned expansions. With the extra chapter representing the final content addition, and no developer activity in over five years, the game appears to have launched and concluded as a finished product.
