Oldage

Oldage is a free-to-play competitive turn-based strategy game that launched out of Early Access on December 19, 2017. The developer, Ed Farage, shut down the game's servers in November 2018 and posted a direct explanation: the game was no longer generating revenue, so server costs could not be sustained. In that same post, the developer stated the game would "probably not" return and explicitly ruled out an offline mode. The game is no longer available for purchase on Steam — no purchase options exist. Developer communications after the shutdown shifted entirely to Royale Age, a spiritual successor game announced in September 2019 and wishlisted on Steam in January 2021. There has been no communication about Oldage itself since the November 2018 shutdown announcement.
