one night, hot springs

One Night, Hot Springs is a free-to-play visual novel that launched on August 30, 2018. It is a self-contained short game (~30 minutes, seven endings) from solo developer npckc. The game's only DLC — an art collection — was released on launch day in 2018. The game received a notable update on October 3, 2021, adding a new outfit for the main character to celebrate the release of A Year of Springs, a separate compilation product on Steam that bundles this game's story with its two sequels and an exclusive epilogue. The store description itself points players toward A Year of Springs as the place to experience the full trilogy. A minor maintenance patch was applied on April 3, 2025. The developer (npckc) has remained active, releasing other games such as A Tavern for Tea (March 2023) and announcing True Love's Curse (coming July 13, 2026), but all post-2021 communications concern entirely separate titles. No future content has been announced or implied for One Night, Hot Springs itself. The game was designed and shipped as a complete, standalone experience, and there is no indication from the developer that anything further is planned for it.
