One Way Heroics launched on February 28, 2014 as a complete, self-contained roguelike RPG. Its only DLC, One Way Heroics Plus, was released on August 17, 2015 — an expanded version of the game that added additional content. No further DLC has been announced or listed on the store since then, and no developer communications reference any upcoming content.
Since its launch, the game has received a steady stream of maintenance and compatibility updates — the most recent being a patch on August 28, 2025 — but none of these have introduced major new gameplay content. The updates have focused on bug fixes, engine upgrades (including a significant engine overhaul in July 2023), and compatibility improvements for newer hardware like the Steam Deck and modern controllers. Darkness always approaches from the left, and with each movement or action you take, the void creeps ever closer. Forced to run right, you'll encounter any number of monsters, allies, thieves and shops on your desperate journey to stop the end of everything.
The good news is that you don't just have access to one world. You have access to all of them.
