Evaluation

Onirim is a digital adaptation of a solitaire card game that launched on July 26, 2017, with two expansion DLCs released on the same day. Both DLCs are fully released and no unreleased content appears on the store. The most significant recent development came on April 27, 2023, when the developer announced that the game had been acquired by inPatience — the original creator of the Onirim board game — from Asmodee Digital. The announcement included a UI refresh and bug fixes. While the post mentioned "exciting new features" as a possibility enabled by the acquisition, this language is vague and aspirational rather than a concrete commitment to specific content. No named expansions, roadmap, or follow-up announcements have materialized since then. The news post also noted that DLC from the old Asmodee platform is no longer transferable, and that players can obtain a "Glyphs" DLC for free via newsletter — but this DLC does not appear as a store listing, suggesting it is not new paid content but rather a promotional/legacy item. With no post-launch content cadence (both DLCs launched on day one), no unreleased DLC on the store, and no concrete future content commitments from the developer, the game is best understood as a complete product. The April 2023 update represented a platform transition and maintenance refresh rather than the start of an ongoing content cycle. No developer communication has followed that post as of June 27, 2026.

Nominated for a Golden Geek in the Best Solo Board Game category, Onirim is a card game where you play as a dream walker, lost in a mysterious labyrinth. You must find the dream doors before the dream time runs out, or you will be trapped forever!

Will you wander around the dream chambers hoping that luck will reveal the doors, or will you meticulously explore each room type? Either way, you'll have to avoid the traps of the dreaded nightmares that haunt the labyrinth's corridors.

Onirim is a solitaire card game. You must beat the game by collecting all eight dream doors before you run out of cards. You can get them by playing cards of the same colour for three consecutive turns or by discarding one of your precious Key cards when you draw a Door card. In both cases, you will need to make the best use of the cards you have in your hand while paying attention to the Nightmare cards. These cards are mixed in with the others, and if you draw one, you will be faced with a painful choice.

In addition to single player play, Onirim offers players an intuitive interface, automatic deck management and statistics that measure progress and success.

Onirim includes the following elements:
- Shadi Torbey's Onirim base game in solo mode
- The original illustrations of the base game by Philippe Guerin and Élise Plessis, with animations
- A solo game mode
- A detailed interactive turn-by-turn tutorial integrated into the game
- Statistics recorded offline to allow you to see your progress
- No purchases or ads in the application
- Supported languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish
