Evaluation
Only Down! launched on July 26, 2023. Shortly after release, the developer posted a roadmap on August 1, 2023 outlining plans for a second world, a hardcore mode, and a pull-up mechanic. All of these were delivered in a single major free update on September 4, 2023, which added the second world map, a new Hard mode, and new achievements. That update fulfilled the developer's stated plans for the game. No further updates, patches, or announcements for Only Down! have been made since September 4, 2023. The developer (Quiet River) has continued to be active, but subsequent communications have been announcements and launches of entirely separate games — Cube0S (June 2024), Zup! Y (November 2024), a horror anomaly game (September 2025), and OxU 2 (February 2026). None of these posts reference any further content for Only Down!. The game launched as a small, self-contained experience, the developer delivered on their one post-launch roadmap promise, and there has been no indication of any additional content planned for this title.
