Evaluation
Open Door is a solo-developed indie horror game that released on February 2, 2023. The developer promised two free DLC packs as early as March 2023 (mentioned in a sale announcement and reinforced by hidden DLC locations added in patch 1.17), and in May 2023 hinted at an upcoming engine upgrade with additional story content. However, neither of those deliverables appears to have materialized. By April 2024, the developer confirmed that the revenue from Open Door was being invested into other games — specifically Pathogen X (which launched in January 2024) and additional projects in development. The April 2024 post makes no mention of returning to Open Door with further updates, DLC, or story additions. The developer's roadmap and attention had clearly shifted entirely to their next titles. There have been no posts referencing Open Door updates, DLC, or additional content since May 2023, and the last developer communication of any kind (about any topic) was in April 2024. The earlier DLC promises were never formally cancelled, but the developer's own statements show they moved on to new projects. Given the extended silence on Open Door specifically, the shift of resources to other games, and no active signals of returning to this title, the game is best treated as a complete, finished product as shipped.
Evidence
Developer stated that all money earned from Open Door was reinvested into developing other games, and listed a roadmap of upcoming titles (Pathogen X, a psychological horror, and a 2D adventure). No mention of returning to Open Door.
Developer launched Pathogen X — a separate new game — indicating their development focus had fully shifted away from Open Door.

About this game
Firstly, this game is about walking (looking for objects and revealing the plot as the game progresses, as well as solving puzzles).
Secondly, the scrimmers (yes they are present, but they are not so much)..
"This is my first indie horror project, the script and concept of which has been reworked several times, inspired by many classic games, drawing ideas from them. I'm not good at animations, but if many people like this project, I'll release the next game with better quality with all the cut scenes and full voice acting, in many languages." Spoiler - the game will be about summer camp.

The game also has stealth mechanics.
