Evaluation
Osteoblasts launched on February 12, 2021 and received its one major post-launch content update — the Hall of Doors update (version 1.1.0) — on October 28, 2021, which added 14 new enemies, 11 new areas, and over 2 hours of gameplay. Alongside that update, developer Anglerman explicitly stated that the game would "probably not be receiving new updates or DLCs in the future, unless Anglerman is really feeling it." This was a clear signal that planned development had concluded.
Despite that statement, Anglerman did return occasionally with bonus additions: an achievements and localization update in October 2022, and a Japanese translation in October 2024. These were welcome extras, but none represented a reversal of the "development is essentially done" position — and no further content has been announced or hinted at since.
The February 2026 anniversary post confirms Anglerman is actively working on an entirely new game (a turn-based dungeon crawler), not additional content for Osteoblasts. Osteoblasts itself has a single DLC listed — the official soundtrack — which has been available since launch.
All evidence points to Osteoblasts being a complete, finished product. The last meaningful content addition was the Japanese translation on October 31, 2024, and the developer's attention has since moved to a new project.
Evidence
On the game's 5th anniversary, developer Anglerman teases a brand new turn-based dungeon crawler in development — a separate project, with no new content announced for Osteoblasts.
Major Hall of Doors update released, with developer explicitly stating the game will 'probably not be receiving new updates or DLCs in the future' — signaling the end of planned development.

MOONANA MESSAGE:
Hello, everyone, this is Nana, lead developer at Moonana. We are the developers of Virgo Versus The Zodiac and Keylocker | Cyberpunk Turn Based Action! I just wanted to let you all know that this is not a game developed by the whole team at Moonana, it's developed by our animator, Anglerman and I helped a bit here and there with dialogues and guidance. This game is being published by Moonana as means of assistance to Anglerman, since he despises the bureaucracy behind launching a game, but I deeply endorse his work and wanted everyone to know about it! I hope you guys will enjoy his work as well and cheer for Anglerman's barely alive new game!
