Paint By Numbers

Paint By Numbers launched on May 20, 2021 as a free-to-play casual puzzle game and has received a substantial catalogue of paid DLC packs over the years, organized into themed series (Planet packs, Spooky Rush, Spirit of Christmas, New Voyager, Cooking Time, and the 8-Bit World series). All 49 listed DLC packs have been released, with the most recent batch — 10 new 8-Bit World episodes — shipping on June 17, 2024. After that June 2024 DLC release, the developer's focus appears to have shifted. The most recent communication from the developer (June 10, 2025) is an announcement for an entirely new game called "Paint by Words," with no mention of additional Paint By Numbers content. Prior announcements in 2023 and 2024 similarly pointed to separate projects (Nonograms, RAIDS Inc.), suggesting the developer has been diversifying rather than continuing to expand this title. The historical DLC release pattern shows content dropped in waves roughly every 3–12 months from launch through June 2024. However, it has now been over 12 months since the last DLC shipped (June 17, 2024), which exceeds the longest gap in the release history. No new DLC has been announced for Paint By Numbers, no unreleased DLC is listed on the store, and the developer's most recent post is focused entirely on a new product. Taken together, this strongly suggests the game's content cycle has concluded, with June 17, 2024 representing the completion of its DLC catalogue.
