Evaluation

Paragnosia launched on October 24, 2024 as a compact, self-contained horror anomaly-hunting game set in an apartment (45–180 minutes of playtime). After launch, Sine Coda released a feature update in November 2024 and several bug fix patches through the end of 2024. The developer has continued to support the game with small updates and has grown the Paragnosia series with new standalone titles: Paragnosia: Museum was announced in September 2025 and launched as a separate game on March 30, 2026. On August 6, 2026, Sine Coda released the "Darkness Encounters" DLC for the original Paragnosia — a substantial paid expansion adding a new post-story game mode, a corrupted version of the apartment, 60 new entities, and an exclusive boss battle. This DLC is now released and is the only DLC listed for the game. The same August 6 update also mentions a third entry in the series, Paragnosia: Triple Curse, which is a new standalone game on its own Steam page — not a DLC or expansion for the original. With the Darkness Encounters DLC now shipped and no further content announced for the original game, Paragnosia appears to be a complete package. The developer's pattern is to release new content as separate standalone games in the series rather than as ongoing expansions to the original.

About this game

They've haunted you for too long. Tonight they want to strike, but you're no longer helpless. You have the tools to banish them for good. Expect them to manifest as anomalies in every inch of your apartment to escape your vigilance.

FIND ANOMALIES

You'll have to be very vigilant to make it through the night.

Move your camera along the track, rotate it at 360°, spot and take pictures of anomalies to exorcise* them. Watch out for your battery limit.

PLAY TIME

45-180 minutes

HOLD ON TILL THE END OF THE NIGHT

Your goal is to survive for 8 consecutive hours. With each round, a new set of anomalies appear in the apartment, as many opportunities for them to trap you or destroy the camera!

When you complete a round, the number of missed anomalies is revealed to you by the system. For each anomaly you miss, you lose one of the 6 locks on the seal that protects you from the entities. Keep at least one lock until 8am to have a chance of banishing the source of evil. Lose them all and you're doomed.
