Parry Nightmare launched on March 21, 2024 as a complete action game. Following launch, the developer shipped a series of updates: a feature patch on April 4, 2024 added gameplay improvements and balance changes; a September 24, 2024 update added scoreboards and stage customization; and a minor bug fix patch was released on December 11, 2024. The most significant post-launch addition arrived on June 25, 2025, when the developer released the original game soundtrack as a paid DLC, alongside a free game update that added a new "Express Delivery" accessibility system and a new transformation form for Honno-chan. This update was timed to coincide with the Nintendo Switch version launch. The Nintendo Switch release itself, along with the soundtrack DLC being the only listed DLC (now released), suggests this June 2025 update represented the final planned content addition.
