PBA Pro Bowling 2023 launched on September 7, 2022. Shortly after launch, FarSight Studios noted in a March 1, 2023 patch post that most of the team working on the game had been reassigned, leaving only a small group to handle bug fixes. No major content updates followed that patch.
On December 22, 2025, FarSight Studios effectively closed the book on this game by announcing the release of its successor, PBA Pro Bowling 2026. The announcement post celebrated the new game and thanked the community for their support over the course of the series — making clear that PBA Pro Bowling 2023 has been superseded and that FarSight's bowling game efforts have moved on to the 2026 entry.
