Evaluation

Pesterquest launched on September 4, 2019 as an episodic visual novel, with the developer promising 14 volumes released biweekly. Volumes shipped on that schedule, and on March 4, 2020, the developer announced that Volume 14 — explicitly described as "the final installment" — would release on April 1, 2020, along with an epilogue. That final volume shipped as promised on April 1, 2020, completing the series. The store description confirms all 14 volumes are available in one bundle. The only DLC released since then is the official soundtrack (September 13, 2021). The most recent developer communication, a December 18, 2025 sale announcement, contains no indication of any new content — it simply promotes a holiday discount. The game launched with a defined episode count, completed that count, and the developer has made no announcements of additional content since.
