PEXIT 8

PEXIT 8 is a free-to-play indie game that launched on February 10, 2025. It is a self-contained "Exit 8"-style anomaly-detection game set in the Penguin Hotel universe, where players must correctly identify anomalies 8 times in a row to escape a looping hallway. The game shipped as a complete, finished product. Post-launch activity has been limited to minor maintenance: a vertical sync patch on February 18, 2025, and a couple of bug fixes. There is no DLC, no season pass, no roadmap, and no announced future content for PEXIT 8 itself. A news post from February 22, 2025 references "Penguin Hotel 2" being in development, but this is a separate game in the broader Penguin Hotel series — not additional content for PEXIT 8. Similarly, a March 25, 2025 post announced the main Penguin Hotel game going free-to-play and the launch of its Chapter 2, again referring to that separate title. Developer communication for PEXIT 8 specifically ceased after the early February 2025 patches. The game launched as a complete experience and has remained so.
