Pistol Whip

Pistol Whip launched in November 2019 and has received a long and consistent run of free major content updates from Cloudhead Games. Over the years, these included cinematic campaigns (2089 in December 2020, Smoke & Thunder in August 2021), system overhauls like the Contracts career progression update (June 2022) and Party Mode (February 2022), seasonal collections like Overdrive (May 2023) and Elixir of Madness (October 2023), and most recently the VOIDSLAYER collection in June 2024. The August 2023 roadmap announcement confirmed Elixir of Madness (Fall 2023) and "another new content collection in early 2024" as upcoming releases. Both of those commitments were fulfilled — Elixir of Madness launched October 5, 2023, and VOIDSLAYER launched June 6, 2024. As of June 2024, all previously announced content from that roadmap has shipped. Since the VOIDSLAYER launch on June 6, 2024, there have been no new developer announcements, roadmaps, or content teasers — a silence now spanning over a year (through June 15, 2026). Historically, Cloudhead shipped major content roughly every 6–12 months, making a silence of this length well outside that window. No new roadmap has been published and no further content has been announced. The two DLC items listed on the store are both soundtrack releases that have been available since 2019 and 2021 respectively — no unreleased DLC is present. All previously announced content commitments have been delivered, and the developer has not communicated any plans for additional content. The game appears to have concluded its post-launch content cycle with the VOIDSLAYER collection.
