Pizzeria launched as a free-to-play clicker game on July 8, 2024. In the ten days following launch, the developer published a burst of activity: a patch adding new drop items and upgrades (July 9), a bug fix (July 11), a hotfix for inventory loading (July 14), an update adding inventory and three new community-designed pizzas (July 14), and a final patch on July 18, 2024 enabling pizza skins to be equipped in-game. The launch announcement on July 8, 2024 explicitly promised ongoing content: "New updates will be coming in the next few days that will add new exclusive items, in-game upgrades, features, and much more." The first patch on July 9, 2024 similarly stated to "expect new updates and items to be released in the coming days." These commitments appear to have been only partially fulfilled by the July 18 patch — and then the developer went completely silent. No developer communication of any kind has appeared since July 18, 2024. No further patches, announcements, community posts, or store updates have been made. The game's store description references an active Discord community with "regular events and exclusive item drops," but the developer has not publicly communicated about the game in nearly two years. Given the outstanding promises from launch and the total silence since July 18, 2024, it is unclear whether further development is ongoing or the game has been quietly abandoned.
