Evaluation

Please, Touch The Artwork 2 launched on February 19, 2024 as a free, self-contained game made by a solo developer in honor of James Ensor's 75-year remembrance. The store description explicitly notes it is a short game made in six months, and the game launched fully complete with five worlds and no post-launch content additions. On December 13, 2024, the developer released optional cosmetic "Donation" DLC (in Small, Medium, and Large tiers) to allow fans to financially support the series. These are purely voluntary tip jars — they add no gameplay content — and the developer used the occasion to confirm that Please, Touch The Artwork 3 is in development. On June 6, 2025, the developer announced an additional spin-off title, "Please, Watch The Artwork," at Summer Game Fest / Day of the Devs, and reaffirmed that Please, Touch The Artwork 3 is also in active development. A more detailed look at the spin-off was shown at the Tiny Teams event in August 2025. As of June 11, 2026, the developer is still actively maintaining the game with small bug-fix patches. Please, Touch The Artwork 2 itself is a finished product — the planned future content (PTA3 and the spin-off) are separate games, not additions to this title.
