Evaluation

Pluto launched on March 9, 2026 as a full 1.0 release. Siege Wizard Interactive has maintained a rapid cadence of major updates since launch. On March 27, 2026, they released a Full Moon mode overhaul with a new map, new spell types, and extensive new content on a public playtest branch. On April 29, 2026, four new wizard characters (Magus, Pyromancer, Flame Knight, Necromancer) and new difficulty modes were added to the playtest branch. On June 1, 2026, the final three wizards (Homunculus, Pharaoh, and Paladin) arrived in playtest, with the developer noting the next step would be moving everything to the main game branch along with a proper ending and updated tutorials. On June 25, 2026, Version 1.1 shipped to all players as the official main branch release, delivering all of that content — plus a new Inscribe mechanic, mod support, new map events, and more. The game's soundtrack DLC also released the same day. This establishes three major updates delivered in roughly two-month intervals since the March 9, 2026 launch. The developer stated at launch that they "want to support this game for as long as you want to play it," and their April 29, 2026 post also referenced plans for Steam Workshop integration to make modding easier — a goal not yet explicitly confirmed as shipped. The developer has not announced the end of content development. Given the active and sustained pace of updates through June 25, 2026 (less than two months ago as of today), and the developer's stated long-term support intentions, this game is clearly in an ongoing period of post-launch content development.

About this game

A roguelike deckbuilder where you fight with your fingers, spill some blood, and try to make it to your niece’s birthday on time.

You’re a wizard. A not-so-heroic wizard imprisoned for wizard crime, awoken from your wizard slumber by an invitation from your niece. Escape from jail and traverse a hostile world crawling with danger. Every turn is a frenzy of spell sigils, cracking bones, and desperate gestures as you shred through monstrosities with raw elemental power.

You’re not the chosen one, you’re just trying to be a good uncle.

💀 Master Tactical Spellcraft

This isn’t your usual “play the biggest card” deckbuilder.

Every spell is built from elemental patterns cast directly with your fingers. Recipes can overlap and combine, sparking strategies that reward clever play and experimentation.

You’ll discover emergent synergies not just in what you play, but how you cast it — turning each turn into a high-stakes puzzle full of risk, reward, and happy little accidents.

🩸 Gory, never Grim

  • Explore a hand-drawn dark fantasy world of cursed ruins and haunted forests

  • Face grotesque and absurd monsters, oozing with menace and dread

  • Splatter enemies into charred puddles while outrunning your jailors

You’re not saving the world. You’re just trying to get to a birthday party in one piece — and maybe pick up a card on the way

🧠 Designed for “A-ha!” Moments

  • 8+ playable characters, each bending the spellcasting system in unique ways

  • One-hour runs - perfect for single-session wins

What begins as simple patterns quickly grows into a web of interactions — rewarding experimentation and cleverness over rote memorization.
