Evaluation

Pocket Waifu launched on November 13, 2018 and ran as a free-to-play game for several years before being shut down. On April 23, 2026, the developer JNT Games posted an official closure announcement stating that the game was being immediately shut down due to mounting technological debt that made it too costly to continue supporting. The developer thanked over 3 million players and described it as their "first game made for the adult entertainment market." The game is no longer available for purchase on Steam, confirming the closure. The store description still references "more coming soon" for animated scenes, but this reflects outdated text and is superseded by the April 23, 2026 closure announcement. JNT Games has since moved on to new titles, including Shelter 69 (launched May 2022) and Passion Rift (launched August 2025).

Evidence

Developer announced the immediate and permanent closure of Pocket Waifu, citing unsustainable technological debt after a multi-year run. The game is shut down for good.
