Police Shootout: Prologue is a free standalone prologue released on April 26, 2022, designed to introduce players to the world of the full game, Police Shootout. The prologue received a small bug fix patch on April 29, 2022, and a feature update (v1.2) on May 23, 2022 that added difficulty levels and various quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback. After that May 2022 patch, there have been no further updates to the prologue itself.
The developer's subsequent activity has been focused entirely on the full game, Police Shootout — including console launches on Xbox Series X|S (February 20, 2025) and PlayStation 5 (March 14, 2025), and a Steam Awards nomination in November 2023. None of these developments relate to new content for this prologue.
As a free prologue, this product served its stated purpose: to let players experience the world of Police Shootout before the full game's release. The full game has since launched and received continued support. The prologue itself has been complete since its final patch in May 2022 and no further updates have been communicated or appear to be planned for it.
