Potion Tycoon spent roughly one and a half years in Early Access before leaving it on October 4, 2024, when version 1.0 launched. The 1.0 release post explicitly frames it as the conclusion of the Early Access journey, delivering the long-awaited story ending, a custom scenario mode, and a sweeping set of content additions. The developer's own language — "it is finally over!" and a "letter of love and gratitude" — signals that this was the intended finish line for the game's development arc. An earlier announcement on September 24, 2024 also confirmed that the team had explored ways to extend development with additional content but "ultimately not succeeding in doing so," and that the 1.0 release would be the endpoint. This is an unusually candid admission that no further post-launch content is planned. The two DLC items in the store (a Supporter Pack and a Soundtrack, both released in March 2023) are cosmetic/bonus items from the Early Access period and show no unreleased entries. All six major content updates tracked in the news history were shipped during Early Access, culminating in the 1.0 release. Post-launch activity consists only of bug-fix and hotfix patches (versions 1.0.9 and 1.0.10), with the last developer communication on October 25, 2024. There have been no announcements of additional content, expansions, or a continued development roadmap since launch, and the developer explicitly acknowledged they were unable to extend the content scope beyond what shipped.
