Princess Maker 2 Refine launched on September 28, 2016 as a remastered version of the classic 1994 life simulation game. The developer, CFK, supported the game post-launch with bug fixes and a localization patch through early 2017. The only DLC — a soundtrack pack — shipped on October 7, 2016.
In February 2017, CFK announced that "additional contents" were coming to PM2 Refine alongside the upcoming Princess Maker 1 Refine release. However, no specific additional content for PM2 Refine was ever listed on the store, and no follow-up post confirmed what that content was or when it shipped. Given that this announcement was made on February 10, 2017, and the last developer communication of any kind was a bug fix patch on February 17, 2017, there has been no further activity from the developer on this title since then — a period spanning over nine years to the present date of June 27, 2026.
The February 2017 mention of "additional contents" was vague and was made alongside news about a separate game (Princess Maker 1 Refine). With no follow-up, no unreleased DLC appearing on the store, and nearly a decade of silence, it is most reasonable to treat PM2 Refine as a complete, finished product. The game launched as a polished remaster and received early post-launch maintenance; the brief patch period ending February 17, 2017 marks the effective end of its active development.
