Prison Tycoon: Under New Management left Early Access and launched its 1.0 release on December 10, 2021. Following launch, the game received two pieces of paid/free DLC content: the free "Roll Call" DLC (December 10, 2021) adding character customization and Twitch integration, and the "Maximum Security" paid expansion (March 29, 2022) adding new prisoner types, guard units, and therapy rooms. The third and final major content addition was a free Sandbox Mode, released on August 8, 2022, which the store description prominently celebrates. Both DLC entries in the store listing are marked as released. There have been no developer communications of any kind since August 8, 2022 — nearly four years of silence as of June 2026. No future content has been announced, no roadmap exists, and no unreleased DLC is listed. The post-launch content pattern (three major releases across roughly eight months) concluded with Sandbox Mode, after which all developer activity ceased. The game appears to have shipped as a complete package with its full planned content delivered by August 2022.
