Pro Wrestling Sim has been in Early Access since March 29, 2021 and remains there today. The developer — a solo creator — has maintained a remarkably consistent cadence of substantive updates throughout this period. On March 2, 2026, the developer posted a milestone announcement [NEWS-2] stating that the game had reached all the features originally planned for Early Access, and outlined the remaining path to a full release: quality-of-life improvements, polishing existing mechanics, building a default database, and general refinement. The developer noted this would "take quite some time." That work has clearly continued. A feature patch shipped on March 18, 2026 [NEWS-4], another substantial patch on May 4, 2026 [NEWS-3], and then — just two days before today's assessment date — the biggest update yet landed on September 24, 2026 [NEWS-1]: "The Big Redesign Update," a sweeping overhaul touching every screen in the game, alongside major new features including an in-game streaming network, a social media buzz feed, a new taping system, skill ceilings, and more. Crucially, the September 24, 2026 post [NEWS-1] explicitly addresses where the game stands: "You'll notice we're getting closer and closer to that v1.0 game release - at this point it's all about polish, bug fixing and getting a good default database up and running." The developer also reflects that the game has been in development for nearly 10 years and in Early Access for 6 years, shaped significantly by community feedback. This is a game with a solo developer who is actively and frequently updating it, has explicitly communicated that a 1.0 release is the goal, and shipped a major update just days ago. Development is clearly ongoing and the game is not yet complete.
