Pumping Simulator launched on December 20, 2020 and received a period of active development through 2021 and into early 2022, with feature updates adding a restaurant, a pub, crypto mining, vehicle modifications, taxi travel, buyable homes, macOS support, and various bug fixes and gameplay improvements. However, on November 29, 2022, the solo developer posted a status update confirming that work had shifted to a new project called Rygrad, and that updates to Pumping Simulator would only come when time permitted. That post was the last official communication from the developer. As of June 24, 2026 — more than three and a half years later — no further updates, patches, or announcements have been made for the game. The store description still carries a statement that more content will be added as the game generates revenue, but this promise has not been revisited or fulfilled since late 2022. The game is technically available for purchase and was never formally declared finished, but the developer has been silent for an extended period following their acknowledgment of divided attention. Whether active development will resume is unknown.

We all wondered what people are doing at those gas stations where we stop on long journeys, maybe we have dreamed of being a pumper. We designed this game to understand and explain what it is like to look at life through the eyes of a pumper.

You can grapple with all sorts of ordeals on a deserted mountain road and make your bread with your sweat, or you can manage a gas station in the city and swim in money in the gas monopoly you set up with your friends.

Pumper Simulator promises you good times to spend with your friends. When you buy this game, you buy not a game but a fun time to spend with your friends. Is it the sense of accomplishment of working together? Or is it the pleasure of taking a job behind your friends and pocketing the extra money?
